the daughter who was upset that her parents wouldn't allow
her to have teenage boys in her room: I am the mother of two
"horny" teenage boys (as you referred to them) and have found
that teenage girls are also horny!
My boys are only allowed to have girls in their rooms if there
are more friends present; or, if they are alone, they MUST
keep the door open. For me, this has not been a problem since
their bedrooms are easily seen and I am not afraid to "walk
in" and confront the horny kids.
I do agree that she should talk to her parents, but maybe
her parents aren't always home or her bedroom is upstairs
and not easily observed by her folks. Maybe, since the communication
gap seems to be shut down, she is too immature to negotiate
with them.
I guess I am just lucky to have two kids who are pretty open
with me. But I have learned that if you "give 'em an inch,
they'll take a mile" and that "you can't trust them as far
as you can throw them"! And that means all of them - girls
and boys.

Since I've never been a horny teenage girl or a mom of horny
teenage boys, I trust you know what you're talking about -
all horny teenagers, regardless of their sex, shouldn't be
left alone in bedrooms.
